CASology Challenge #381 & Paper Players Challenge #522

 Two challenges inspired today's card....

CASology // #381 ...Cue Card: Memories!!  I love this quote...memories do bring comfort, strength, and peace!!  I included a "with sympathy" sentiment on the inside.  Thanks CASology for the inspiration...this card is a nice addition to my sympathy stash!

Paper Players // #PP522 ...A theme challenge!! For this current challenge the theme was "use something new" on your card.  I just had a small order arrive yesterday day with some new ink and card stock colors.  For some reason I never ordered the Granny Green ink and card stock.  So the plastic came off of both and today they were used for the first time!!

Verse of the day:

Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.

Proverbs 11:24 (NLT)

Try Stampin on Tuesday Challenge #488 & CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #401

 2 challenges inspired today's card...

CAS Colours & Sketches // #401 ...A color challenge!! The trio of colors for this challenge...Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Cherry Cobbler.  I used Bermuda Bay ink and card stock, Pool Party ink for the balloon, and Cherry Cobbler ribbon and candy dots to embellish my hot air balloon.

Try Stampin on Tuesday // #TSOT488 ...A sketch challenge!! I love the festive pennants in this sketch.  At first glance I was thinking I would make a birthday card but in the end I decided on this sentiment to finish it off..."You're off to great places"!!

Verse of the Day:

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

JOHN 1:14 (ESV)

Global Design Project #273 & Addicted to CAS Challenge #188

Today's card was inspired by 2 challenges....

Addicted to CAS // #273 ...Code Word: Emboss!!  We could heat emboss or dry emboss.  I chose to dry emboss.  Then colored it in with chalks.  Maybe I will create another card for this challenge and use the heat embossing...stay tuned and see!!

Global Design Project // #GDP273 ...A color challenge!! The current colors are Soft Seafoam, Petal Pink, and Night of Navy.  I used Stampin Up chalks that were the closest to these colors.

Verse of the Day:  Give us this day our daily bread.

MATTHEW 6:11 (ESV)

Just Us Girls Challenge #565 & Sunday Stamps Challenge #247

Today's card was inspired by two challenges...

Sunday Stamps // #SSC247 ...A color challenge!!  Greens and Navy....cool and refreshing combination!!

Just Us Girls // #JUGS565 ... A word challenge and the word is...Hello!!

My hello die came in a retired bundle from Stampin Up...Crazy About You!  The designer paper stripes came from my stash of scraps...a perfect backdrop for my hello die and butterfly punch outs!

Our daughter and her family are still here...that means I am keeping my stamping and posing simple and short!!  I have so enjoyed our time with them...especially our first grand child...she is 3 month old and such a blessing & joy to have in our home!!

Verse of the Day:

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

MATTHEW 4:4 (ESV)

TGIF Challenge #297 & Paper Craft Crew Challenge #407

 Two challenges inspired my card...

TGIF Challenge // #TGIFC297 ...A color challenge!!  Black and white!! I love black and white together...so clean and elegant!!

Paper Craft Crew Challenge // #PCCC407 ...A sketch challenge!!  I love their sketches!! For their current sketch I used one of the shells in place of the triangle.  I works perfectly especially since it is kinda in the shape of a triangle.

I absolutely love this new bundle from Stampin Up.  It is called Friends Are Like Seashells.  One of my favorite Christmas presents...it helps that I picked it out!! :-)

Verse of the Day:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:5 (NIV)

Happy New Year!! Each year I add a bit of inspiration to the end of my posts.  In the past I have use On Thousand Gift prompts or the daily Be the Gift prompts but this year I have decided to use You Versions verse of the day.  May 2021 be a blessed year!!
