Try A Sketch On Tuesday // #TSOT655 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was so fun that I just had to play along again.  Plus...I missed the partnering with Double Trouble on my first take on this sketch.  So, I just had to come back for a "take two".

Double Trouble Paper Challenge // #175 ...A Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3 challenge!!  First of all they want us to pour a beverage and let them know what we are drinking while we are creating...me?? I am sipping on a tonic (not a gin and tonic...just a tonic)!!  Now on with the challenge...Thing 1 wants us to use a punch!! (I used several size circle punches and embossed them) Thing 2 & Thing 3 wants us to use the sketch from TSOT and then enter it in over at their blog (check...I did both).

INKspirational Challenges // #IC325 ...A "word prompt" challenge!!  The word prompt for this challenge is HEADWEAR!!  How about some top hats?!!?  I love these top hats from Stampin Up's retired Guy Greetings set...perfect for this HEADWEAR challenge!!

Alphabet Challenge // 20SEPT24 ...An ABC challenge!!  M is for Masculine!!  I picked a masculine color combo...gold and black!!  And...what gentlemen doesn't love a hat!??!

Card #2 inspired by 1 challenge...

The Paper Players Challenge // #PP708 ...A sketch challenge!!  When you need a baby card and you see a sketch that you have not played along with yet, you use it for the needed baby card!!  I love this glittery designer paper that was in my box of leftover pieces of DSP...perfect for a baby card and just the right sizes for the challenge!!

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC520 ...A theme challenge!!  MASCULINE!!  Great timing for this theme with Father's Day right around the corner.

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb207 ...An "anything goes" challenge!!  But...you have to use a stamp that is over a year old.  I used Stampin Up's Guy Greetings set that came out in 2015...an oldie but goodie!!

Retro Rubber Challenges // #rrcb195...A theme challenge!! Ombre!!  You had me at ombre!!  A paint chip card is a perfect example of an ombre, and I decided to use one on my card.  The vintage car stamp is from Stampin Up's Guy Greetings set that came out in 2015...making it a retro set for sure!!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge // #AHSC498 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch was perfect for using a paint chip sample.  I have seen others use paint chips on cards but have never done that myself until today!  Used up those paint chips that have been setting on my filing cabinet since we repainted our bedroom months ago!!!

{PIN}spiratioinal Challenge // #295 ...A Pinterest inspired challenge!!  For this challenge we are asked to gather our inspiration from the spotlighted photo from Pinterest.  The current photo was all about...GREEN!!

Card #1 inspired by 2 challenges...

Retro Rubber // #rrcb184 ...A color challenge!! Those 70's colors!!  And as always use a stamp that is over a year old.  My retro...the trees were punched out using retired punches and I'm using Stampin Up's Guy Greetings set from 2015 as my sentiment.

Hand Stamped Sentiments // #HSS391 ...An inspiration challenge!!  My inspiration from the photo collage...sunset, woodland, outdoor theme.

The Paper Players // #PP595 ...A color challenge!!  White, Real Read, and Pacific Point...nautical combination in my mind!!  I kept it clean and simple this time.

CASology // #404 ...A cue card challenge!!  RIDE!!  Usually we think of wheels when we hear the word ride, right?!?  But my dad's favorite place to ride...our boat!!  And since Father's Day is this weekend I am going with his favorite ride!!

Color Hues // #TCH21 ...A color challenge!!  The current color combo...Red & Blue!!  I was asked to make a card for 90th birthday!! An antique car seemed like the perfect stamp for this request especially since he loves cars!!  I am thinking he may have owned one that looked similar to this one back in the day!!

CASology // #392 ...A cue card challenge!  The cue card for this current challenge is STRENGTH!  This guy from Stampin Up's Guy Greetings set is the perfect representation of strength and makes for a great Father's Day card!!

As You See It // #AYSI252 ...A theme challenge!! MASCULINE!! A perfect theme since tomorrow is Father's Day!!  This "no one can fill your shoes" sentiment may just be the words that man in your life needs to hear!!

Today begins a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!! For this challenge we want you to make a Father's Day card.  So...come play along and show us your Father's Day creations!!  This card was also created for the CASology challenge using Stampin Up's Guy Greeting stamp set.  Their cue card for the current challenge is...PHOTO!!  I added a "film strip" from Tim Holtz as my photo element.

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G269 ...A guy challenge!! With a wheel theme!!  Today begins a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz.  Our current challenge asks for a card that is masculine and has something to do with wheels.  We hope you will play along...we are looking forward to see what creative options you come up with.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #395

Here is my take on the sketch challenge from the CAS Colours & Sketches team.  I used the top hats from Stampin Up's Guy Greeting stamp set.  The sentiment "world's greatest" I embossed onto vellum and laid it over the stamped top hats.  The hats didn't show through as much as I would have liked them too!!

The Library Challenge #67

The title, the cover, or the story...you pick...based on the book that is pulled off the shelf!!  My inspiration came from both the title and the cover.  The book that has been pulled off the shelf for the Library Challenge is 40 Whacks by Lizzie Borden.    

Update:  This card was choice as the Librarian's choice. I was super excited when I received this message.

Freshly Made Sketches #436 & Color Throwdown Challenge # 594

Needed a construction type Father's Day Card for a friend....no construction type stamps!! So...
I had to get creative.  The corner brads are about the only thing construction-ish that I had!!  This color challenge (gray/yellow/white) from the Color Throwdown team seemed like a good place to start...add in the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches and I think it will do!!
