New Challenge @ Cardz 4 Guyz #C4G320

 

Today begins a new challenge at...

Cardz 4 Guyz // #C4G320 ...A masculine challenge using embossing!!  I used both dry embossing (world map embossing folder for background) and heat embossing (white embossing powder for my compass).  Now it is your turn to make a masculine card using embossing...will you use one or both types?  That is completely up to you, we just want to see at least one type on your card.  We hope you will join the fun and play along with us.  Hop on over to our blog for additional inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Inspire.Create.Challenge // #ICC140 ...A color challenge!!  The color combo for this challenge is Bermuda Bay, Mango Medley, and Polished Pink.  A bright a cheery combination!!

Addicted to Stamps & More // #443 ...A theme challenge!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  Who doesn't love a birthday card challenge!?!  I am guessing that a birthday themed card is made the most often made by card crafters.

Paper Craft Crew Challenges // #PCC513 ...A sketch challenge!!  We have been given a vertical sketch for this current challenge.  A perfect sketch for this jumbo sentiment.

Shopping Our Stash #461

Sunday Stamps // #SSC272 ...A sketch challenge!!  This sketch had me feeling all nautical...maybe it is because I am missing being out on the boat.  Winter won't last forever!!

Paper Craft Crew // #PCC451 ...A color challenge! Pick any color and make a monochromatic card.  I picked blue and used Night of Navy, Pacific Point, and Pool Party.

Just Us Girls // #JUG595 ...A wild card challenge!! The wild card...create anything but a card!!  How about a gift bag?!? I made this little gift bag in one of my favorite color combos...red, black, and white!!

Freshly Made Sketches // #FMS489 ...A sketch challenge!! I feel like I may have lost a bit in translation with this sketch but love how my card turned out.  I may just have to revisit this challenge!!

Color Throwdown // #ctd646 ...A color challenge!! The trio of colors called for in this sketch--navy, aqua, and gray!  A beachy combo indeed and perfect for a masculine card!!

As You See It // #AYSI252 ...A Y chromosome challenge!  That means a masculine card.  I didn't add a sentiment to the front so that it could be either Father's Day or Birthday!!

The Paper Players // #PP540 ...A color challenge! A classic color combo and one of my favorites...Black, Gray & Red.  Change of the way you combine this color combo and you can create a great card for just about every occasion.  Today, I have created a nautical/masculine card.

CAS Colours & Sketches // #419 ...A sketch challenge! This simple sketch has endless possibilities!  The images and dies from Stampin Up's Sailing Home worked perfectly for this sketch.

TGIF Challenge #299 & Just Add Ink Challenge #537

 Two challenges inspired today's card...

TGIF Challenge // #TGIFC299 ...A product challenge!  The product...background stamps!!  I used an oldie but goodie from way back in the day from Stampin Up.  This nautical background stamp has always been one of my favorites.

Just Add Ink // #537 ...A theme challenge! FAMILY!!  In our family we ALL love the water!! So nautical theme cards are always being created.  This card specifically was made for my nephew who hurt his back weightlifting at the high school.  For months now he has been in alot of pain and after many visits to chiropractors, physical therapist, and all kinds of specialists they are doing a spinal injection tomorrow.  Hoping and praying this will bring relief!!

Today's shaker card was inspired by the sketch challenge from the TGIF Challenge team.  This sketch seemed perfect for creating a shaker card.  I used vellum as my shaker cover to give it a more muted look.   I like this smokey look for something different.  My sentiment banner was from Stampin Up's Sailing Home set.

Two cards...Two sketch challenges... 

Here is my take on the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #463

Basic stamping using Stampin Up's Sailing Home bundle. The background was embossed using their Seabed folder...I love this 3d folder!!

This second card was created for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #398  This week they have a sketch challenge for us.  Since I have been kinda busy with Thanksgiving I kept this card very simple!!

#bethegift challenge:  Email a former school teacher and thank them for the impact that they had on your life.

Global Design Project #249

Here is my take on the color challenge from the Global Design Project. (#GDP249) Stampin Up's Sailing Home bundle was perfect for this color combo. 

The Library Challenge #62

Moon Spinners is the book that has been pulled from the shelf for this Library Challenge.   This challenge has us create a card that is inspired by the cover, the tittle, or the story.  I loved creating a this moon light card using Stampin Up's Sailing Home bundle, torn card stock, circle punch, In the Woods bundle, and white ink.
